Since launching in 2020, the LMA Student App Library has provided students across LMA’s Liverpool and London campuses with a trusted space to discover safe, evidence-based health apps tailored to their needs.
The library enables students to search by topic or health area, from mental wellbeing and sleep to fitness, nutrition, and relaxation - helping them find tools that fit around their studies and daily lives.
Ahead of the August 2024 term, the LMA library received a major upgrade to the latest ORCHA system, introducing a refreshed look, smoother navigation, and new curated carousel topics to make searching easier.
The platform also now features:
Seasonal wellbeing themes aligned with the academic calendar
A rotating “App of the Month” selected by the LMA Student Services team
These enhancements ensure the service continues to evolve alongside student needs and expectations.
Since going live in 2020, the LMA App Library has achieved:
~5,000 site visits and 13,000+ page views
Clear seasonal usage patterns, peaking at the start of term and over winter
A 225% increase in downloads in 2024 compared to 2023
Most students access the library directly through the LMA app, supported by active promotion via newsletters and digital campus displays.
The most popular downloads centre around mental health, relaxation, fitness, sleep, and general wellness — reflecting the importance of accessible digital support for student wellbeing.
From local NHS systems to national digital health programmes, ORCHA partners with health and care leaders to deliver trusted, scalable digital health assurance and engagement.
