ORCHA has announced a new collaboration with the NHS Innovation Accelerator (NIA) to support the latest intake of NIA Fellows by carrying out due diligence on their digital health products ahead of confirmation into the programme.

With the new intake, around 24 incoming NIA Fellows will be supported by ORCHA, which will review products to ensure they meet essential clinical, regulatory, data protection and compliance requirements. This early assessment helps ensure innovations are safe, robust and ready to scale within the NHS.

Carrying out due diligence at this stage is an important step in building trust across the health system. It gives NHS organisations confidence that innovations entering the programme meet the standards required for wider adoption, helping successful solutions spread more quickly and safely for the benefit of patients.

The partnership is especially significant for ORCHA’s Founder and CEO, Liz Ashall-Payne, who is an NHS Innovation Accelerator Alumni Fellow. Supporting the programme represents a return to the community that helped shape ORCHA’s own journey.

Alongside due diligence, ORCHA will also support NIA Fellows with market access and distribution, both across the UK and internationally, including opportunities in North America, helping innovations reach health systems at scale.

Liz Ashall-Payne, Founder and CEO of ORCHA, said:

“The NHS Innovation Accelerator played a huge role in my own journey, so it is a real privilege for ORCHA to be able to support the next generation of Fellows. Making sure products meet compliance requirements early on is essential for building trust and helping innovations scale, ultimately improving care for patients across the country.”

Mindy Simon Co-director at the NHS Innovation Accelerator said:

“Working with ORCHA strengthens our ability to support Fellows as they prepare to scale their innovations. Having this level of due diligence in place helps ensure products are ready to meet NHS requirements and deliver real impact for patients and services.”

This collaboration reflects a shared commitment between ORCHA and the NHS Innovation Accelerator to support high-quality, trusted innovation that can be adopted confidently across the health and care system. If you'd like to find out more, please contact us.
